“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Isaiah 55:8-9 NIV

God has many names, and one of them is the Most High.
The Hebrew word, Elyown, means Highest. It’s used to signify an elevation and also a title: the Supreme.
His wisdom and ways are far superior to all earthly knowledge. He’s the Alpha and Omega, the First and Last, the Beginning and End.
Paul in Romans 11:33 breaks out in spontaneous praise of God, utterly in awe of his perfect plan: Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!
You get the picture. The Lord is entirely Other.
On our own, we stand guilty before a holy God.
But God! Because of his great love, he has made us alive and one with Christ.
You’re invited to dwell in the shelter of the Most High and rest in his shadow. You’re seated with Christ in heavenly places.
Yes, God’s ways are higher. But that doesn’t mean he’s out of reach.
He’s calling you to seek him, to come up higher. He wants to pour out his heart so you can see from his perspective and act accordingly.
There’s a war between the ways of the world and the wisdom of heaven.
Don’t rely on your own understanding. Rather, get low, listen, and ask for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation. He’s a good and giving Father.
When you ascend his holy hill, you won’t want to leave and cannot stay the same.
